Toi, Seine, tu n’as rien.

Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may beFor my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstanceI have not winced nor cried aloud.Under the bludgeonings of chanceMy head is bloody, but unbowed.

Sing a song of seasons! Something bright in all! Flowers in the summer, Fires in the fall!
by Robert...

If ever two were one, then surely we.If ever man were lov’d by wife, then thee.If ever wife was happy in a man,Compare with me, ye women, if you can.I prize thy love more than whole Mines of goldOr all the riches that the...

September
My life’s long radiant Summer halts at last,And lo! beside my path way I beholdPursuing Autumn glide: nor frost nor coldHas heralded her presence; but a vastSweet calm that comes not till the year has passedIts fevered solstice, and a tinge of goldSubdues the vivid colouring of boldAnd passion-hued emotions....
