nemîngîiaţii există / the not caressed exist

svetlana spune: cine nu e mîngîiat nu există.
eu spun: existăm şi chiar am invadat pămîntul.
de mii de ani construim cetăţi în care trăiesc
şi mîngîiaţii plantăm livezi ori scriem
poveşti din care se înfruptă şi ei
trecem prin foc şi sabie sate oraşe ţări
pline de mîngîiaţi şi nemîngîiaţi laolaltă.

cine nu e mîngîiat (spune adevărul meu)
există şi umple pămîntul ba şi cerul
fiindcă Dumnezeu însuşi e singur.

de mirare-i doar că găsim în noi
atîta putere încît să trăim fără iubire.
să ne ducem singuri în braţe
trupul spre moarte.

the not caressed exist

svetlana says: whoever is not caressed does not exist.
I say: we exist and we have actually invaded the earth.
for thousands of years we’ve been building cities where also
the caressed live we plant orchards or write
stories from which they also reap
we pass through fire and sword villages cities countries
full of the caressed and not caressed together.

who is not caressed (says my truth)
exists and fills the earth and even the sky
because God himself is alone.

it’s only wonder that we find in ourselves
so much strength to live without love.
to carry ourselves alone in our arms
the body to death.
