CAMPANIE LA MIAZANOAPTE / NORTHWARD CAMPAIGN

Acum, când grădina de trandafir este închisă în mine
ca într-o cămașă de forță
și îmi picură pe limbă un suflet prea mic și toxic;
când vreau cu adevărat să înțeleg
(fie și umblând și în patru labe în jurul
cunoștințelor mele pozitive)
și când deasupra spitalului latră un singur câine
iar creierul meu moale îl ascultă tandru și calm
(tandru și calm)
poate voi avea curajul să mărturisesc:

„Să aduci pe lume o religie plesnind de sănătate
și să o dai celor mai singuri în viață decât în moarte.
Vărsare de sânge și pustiu să fie doar pentru tine și ai tăi.
În urma carelor de luptă vei vedea atunci visătoare litere de foc.
Acolo, animal tânăr, ți-e dat să trăiești și să mori”.

Now, when the rose garden is enclosed within me
like a straitjacket
and a too small and toxic soul drips on my tongue ;
when I really want to understand
(be it walking on all fours around
my positive knowledge)
and when above the hospital only one dog barks
and my soft brain listens to it tenderly and calmly

maybe I will have the courage to confess:

“To bring into the world a religion bursting with health
and give it to the loneliest in life than in death.
Let bloodshed and desolation be only for you and yours.
Behind the chariots you will then see dreamy letters of fire.
